SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - About 200 customers in downtown Sioux Falls remain without power for a second day as crews continue to try to get heat and electricity back up and running.
Xcel Energy says more than 500 customers were affected by the outage that happened early Friday morning following an underground fire traced to electrical equipment. By Saturday morning about 200 customers remained in the dark.
Xcel officials say it could be Sunday before the company has power up and running for all customers.
The Red Cross set up a temporary shelter for people affected, but nobody showed up Friday night.
