Businesses hold benefit raffle for Trooper Andrew Steen

People looking to support the recovery of injured Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Steen have the chance to with a kitchen remodel in the process.

Trooper Steen was injured in the line of duty in October, when Rachel Colman, 25, allegedly struck Steen with her vehicle. The incident happened at a strip mall near the corner of 57th Street and Western Avenue in Sioux Falls.

Now, some businesses are looking to help the recovery of Trooper Steen, who was released from the hospital on December 14.

Raffle tickets for a kitchen remodel from Granite Transformations are available at the following locations:

 

  • Bracco
  • Spezia
  • Starz
  • Scooter's Coffee
  • Cleaver's Market
  • Vern Eide Honda, Acura and Mitsubishi locations
  • VBI Company

 

One raffle ticket is worth $10 and 3 raffle tickets can be purchased for $20. A drawing will be held February 1.

First prize wins a $6,500 kitchen remodel with a $1,000 sink and faucet from Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery. Second prize wins four season tickets to the Sioux Falls Storm home games.

All proceeds go to Trooper Steen and his recovery.
