A new round of sander trucks is hitting the road in Sioux Falls to work through the night. The Sioux Falls Street Department has had sander trucks out since early on Monday morning. They will be working through the night trying to make the morning commute as smooth as possible.
The department switched shifts at Midnight for a new crew. 41 different sander trucks went back out on the road just after Midnight who will work through the morning. Street Department supervisors want you to be very careful out on the roads. With our temperature dropping overnight roads will be icy in spots. The Street Department says to watch the side streets especially. Supervisors say they will be getting to as many streets as possible throughout the night but they will hit emergency and secondary roads for sure.
