Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is reminding drivers to warm up their vehicles outside, after a car fire that happened inside a garage.
Fire crews responded to the fire at approximately 9:30 pm Monday night. It happened in a garage at 3600 East 6th Street.
First arriving units said they found a car on fire inside a garage complex. Firefighters entered the garage and extinguished the car fire in approximately 10 minutes. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the car. However, there was some moderate smoke damage to the garage complex.
No one was injured during the fire.
Firefighters noted the garage complex did not have a sprinkler system. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
