Sioux Falls driver hits pedestrian in wheelchair

Sioux Falls emergency crews responded to a road accident involving an SUV and a wheelchair.

The accident happened just before 1:30 pm Tuesday. It happened near the intersection of 11th Street and Main Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls.

The driver of the SUV was headed east and the person in the wheelchair was heading north on Main Avenue.

The person in the wheelchair was transported to the hospital. One of the responding officer told KSFY News no other details are expected to be released.
