Volunteers are working hard to get South Dakota's homeless population voices heard.
Volunteers gathered at 3:30 Tuesday morning at Labor Ready in Sioux Falls. They will go around Sioux falls talking with homeless people about how they became homeless and what their needs are. Stacey Tiezen is with Sioux Falls' Homeless Advisory Board. "People are really trying to do the right thing, and trying to make their lives better, and the options and affordable housecare. We have in the community is really a downfall. So its getting the information out to the people able to make theses choices, including the federal government to allocate dollars so we can go ahead and make changes."
This count is normally done every year in September and every other winter.
