SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - School is canceled in many South Dakota cities because of cold weather.
Sioux Falls, Aberdeen and Mitchell schools were among those calling off classes Thursday because of dangerous wind chills.
The National Weather Service says the wind chill could drop to as low as minus 40 degrees in some areas. Officials say frostbite can occur within minutes in such conditions.
