Interstate exit closed due to accident; Driver extricated

Emergency crews responded to an accident along Interstate 29 north of Sioux Falls Thursday morning.

The crash happened just after 8:00 am Thursday. Police said the vehicle hit a pole, and emergency crews had to extricate the person inside the vehicle.

The eastbound I-90 exit along I-29 was closed for a while. The exit opened as soon as a tow truck could remove the vehicle from the road.

Crews were able to get the person out of the vehicle and the man was put into an ambulance. Stay with KSFY News for any updates.
