The flu may be slowing down, but how's it doing here in South Dakota?
State epidemiologist Lon Kightlinger is reluctant to say that we've reached our peak, but we may have plateaued.
According to the latest flu map released by the Centers for Disease Control , South Dakota along with much of the U-S is still dealing with widespread activity.
But when looking at the southeast part of the country things have calmed down and in the Midwest North Dakota looks to be bouncing back.
Kightlinger added that vaccinations in the state are doing well with over half the population getting a shot.
