We are officially one week away from the long-awaited sale of Girl Scout cookies. Saturday about 500 Girl Scouts gathered for the official kick-off ahead of the big sale.
It was held at the Western Mall, it featured cookie fashion shows, skits and dancing.
The rally got the girls fired up about selling cookies reminding them of things like safety tips and setting goals.
"It's fun because over the weekend, I always like to play with my friends and I like to be in Girl Scouts and it's fun to hang out at Girl Scouts," says Clare Carlson.
Cookie sales officially begin February 9th, the local council hopes to sell 1 million boxes this year.
Girl Scouts encourage all of us to give their newest cookie a try it's called mango cream.
