SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota man accused of illegally distributing a powerful painkiller has pleaded guilty in federal court.
Ashley Cottier, of Martin, is charged with distribution of a controlled substance. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
Federal authorities say Cottier distributed Fentanyl, a powerful synthetic drug used for pain management, on June 6, 2012.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 7.
