New this morning, One person has died after a one car accident west of Sioux Falls. It happened just before 7:00 p.m. Monday night west of Ellis Road on 268th which is past Sertoma on 57th Street. The driver of the car was going east when he left the road and went into the ditch before hitting a tree. The driver was the only person in the car and EMTs determined that he died on scene. We don't know if he was wearing a seatbelt or not, but according to the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Department alcohol and speed were *not a factor in the crash. It is still under investigation at this time. The name of the victim is not being released at this time until further notification of relatives has been done.
