INDIANAPOLIS - Augustana women's basketball remains ranked No. 18 in the latest USA Today Sports Top 25 Coaches poll released by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Tuesday afternoon.
Augustana owns a 16-4 overall record and are the only team hailing from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Vikings are 12-4 this season in NSIC play.
The top three teams remained the same with Ashland (Ohio) spending its 10th consecutive week atop the standings and collecting all 32 first-place votes. Bentley (Mass.) and Clayton State (Ga.) remain in second and third, respectively. Western Washington takes over the fourth place spot after Colorado Mesa's perfect season ended with a loss. University of South Carolina-Aiken finds it way back into the top five, moving up one spot to fifth.
Washburn (Kan.) and Central Missouri join the Vikings in the Top 25 from the Central Region, checking in at ninth and 10th, respectively.
Augustana begins a four-game road trip this weekend with a visit to MSU Moorhead and Northern State.
