A fund has been established to help the family that lost its home and six pets in a fire near Yankton.
The fire gutted a mobile home west of Yankton mid-day Monday. Investigators said they believe the fire was sparked by combustible materials near a wood-burner.
The Red Cross is helping the four people who are now homeless. An account has also been set up at Wells Fargo Bank in Yankton. Anyone who would like to contribute a donation can ask for the Brian Trusty or Tammy/Pat Ernster fund.
Katrina Lindsey, a friend of the family, told KSFY News about the fund through Facebook. Lindsey posted that the family thanks everyone for their contributions as they lost everything.
