One group of students have been getting the best of both worlds... while hitting the books, they're also getting a taste of the outdoors.
Dairy farmer Heidi Selkin has been sharing the ins and outs of dairy farming to second graders at Lowell Elementary for months now.
After months of showing kids how it's done through technology, Selkin decided to stop by and give the students a first hand look. "They're so far removed from the farm they haven't had that much exposure when they're growing up. Everyone used to grow up in town and they just have no idea and its important to remember where things come from and how they're made."
In her monthly videos she has shown the students what cows on Boadwine Dairy Farm eat, where they live, and how they are cared for every day.
