A park in Evansdale, Iowa is being renamed in honor of two young cousins who were killed last year.
Lyric Cook and Elizabeth Collins were last seen riding their bikes near Meyers Lake in July -- their bodies were found in December.
The park next to Meyers Lake will be called Angel's Park and the path around the lake will be known as Trail of Angels. Dona Frickson, with the Evansdale Chamber of Commerce, says this is a good way to keep their memory alive. "We want to keep this going so that we can make something positive out of this. That it isn't just known as a bad place where bad things happen. We want to do something good so that the community has a place to go."
Volunteers raised money for the project and want to add more memorials to the park.
No arrests have been made in connection with the girls' deaths.
