Sioux Falls firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a house fire Saturday, leaving behind minor smoke and fire damage.
The fire was reported Saturday at 9:15 pm at 605 East Hermosa Drive in Sioux Falls. The fire was reported when people at the house saw smoke coming from the basement.
Fire crews found a fire near the electrical panel involving the electrical service to the home. Power had to be disconnected before the fire could be extinguished. The fire was put out in approximately 15 minutes.
A total of 18 personnel in four fire trucks and two support vehicles responded to the scene. No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
