People in the Alpena area were out of power for a short while during the storm Sunday afternoon.
Tom Glanzer, NorthWestern Energy spokesperson, said high wind broke a cross line at approximately 3:30 pm. Power was restored early Sunday evening.
Glanzer said crews will wait until tomorrow to do the actual rebuild of that line. He said they are concerned for workers' safety right now.
Glanzer added that a couple of crews in the Huron area are looking at other isolated incidents of power outage. However, he said for the most part everything is in working order.
"We're just trying to survive the wind," Glanzer said.
