The City of Huron was digging out after the snow storm that swept through the region over the weekend.
KSFY Reporter Rachel Gabrielsen reported that high speed winds added to the bitter cold Monday morning. Grabrielsen reminds drivers that ice was packed underneath the snow that fell over the weekend. She reported that the ice is now being exposed due to the wind.
Winds picked up early Sunday evening, whipping around snow. Gabrielsen reported that visibility had increased Monday but there was still plenty of snow whipping around.

"I'll go home at midnight. The other crew will start at midnight. They will run until noon. Our crew will comeback at noon and we just have to keep the machines moving. Machines don't have to rest they can rest after we get the snow moved," Ross Jensen with the City of Huron said.
