Sioux Falls man charged with falsely reporting bomb at Southeast Behavioral

Posted: Updated:

A Sioux Falls man is facing charges for falsely reporting a bomb threat at Southeast Behavioral Health last week.

The report of a bomb was made after an employee received voicemails stating there was a bomb in the building. The building was voluntarily evacuated but nothing suspicious was found.

Police were able to track where the call was made. The calls had been made the night before starting at 6 pm through the time the place opened Friday. Police traced the calls to the home of Alexis Rasmussen, 39, in the 300-block of North Phillips Avenue.

Police said there were no clear ties with Rasmussen's connection to Southeast Behavioral Health. Rasmussen was taken into custody at 11:30 am Friday. He is facing a charge of Falsely Report a Threat or a Bomb.
