Sioux Falls police ask for help in finding dog in biting incident

The Sioux Falls police is asking for the public's health in locating a dog allegedly involved in a dog bite incident.

According to Sioux Falls Police, the bite happened Saturday, February 9, at 11:00 pm in the parking lot of Wal-Mart at 5521 East Arrowhead Parkway. A man was walking through the lot towards the store when he saw what he described as a black and brown Doberman with floppy ears and a long tail.

The man told police the dog was wearing a collar. The man called the dog over to him. The man claims when he reached out to the dog he was bitten on the hand, breaking skin. The dog then ran off to the southeast.

Police need to identify the dog to verify its vaccinations. Anyone with information is asked to call Animal Control at 605-367-7000.
