Today is the day Dannika's dreams come true.

For stars, that obviously means a limo ride and a group of adoring fans.

"We get to go to Universal Studio, we'll probably go to the beach, and we get to see the Good Luck Charlie people," said Dannika Weelborg.

The seven-year-old has cystic fibrosis. She's Make-A-Wish South Dakota's 1,000th wish.

"This is a really big deal for us here in South Dakota. We started in 1984 and we granted six wishes that year and this last year we've granted 74," said Make-A-Wish CEO and President Paul Krueger.

The average cost of a wish is $7,000 and South Dakota's chapter utilized more than 225 volunteers.

"It's a time that they can forget what they've going through, forget their troubles and really let go and have fun," said volunteer Amy Aulner.

Fur for Dannika means a four-day trip to Los Angeles to see her favorite show "Good Luck Charlie".

"She got to choose if she wanted to go on a trip by herself or take everybody with, and she looked at the interviewer and said I want my family to go," said Dannika's mom Jodi.

With a hug from mom and a smile, Dannika knows that dreams really do come true.

"Thank you for granting my wish."
