6 men arrested for stealing booze in Sioux Falls

Six men from Sioux Falls and a transient were arrested for stealing alcohol from convenience stores in less than 15 minutes Wednesday morning.

The shopliftings happened at three separate convenience stores. The first happened at 6:57 am at Cubby's at 1900 West 12th Street. Clerks say the suspects went in and tried to take two 18 packs of beer. A clerk was able to get one of the 18 packs back.

The next incident happened at Freedom at 2601 West 12th Street, where only one 18 pack of beer was taken.

The third shoplifting scene was Food-N-Fuel at 2505 West Russell Avenue at 7:11 am. The thieves took five bottles of rum valued at $90.

Employees at the businesses were able to give a vehicle description and the license plate number. An officer noticed the suspected vehicle in the area of 15th Street and Holly Avenue.

When the officer stopped the vehicle the driver got out and ran, but officers caught him a block away.

Six men were charged with 2nd Degree Petty Theft and Possession of Stolen Property. They include:

 

  • Gervis Fool Bull, 19, a transient, was also the driver. Fool Bull was also charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

  • Nathaniel Thunder Hawk, 24
  • David Eagleman, 24
  • Aloysius Randall, 27
  • Shelby Whitebear, 30
