Sioux Falls police have confirmed that one person has died in a multiple-car accident at 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls.
Police say a Chevy Blazer was going northbound on Minnesota Avenue, and witness reports state the Blazer was traveling anywhere from 60-100 miles per hour. Police are working to determine how fast the Blazer was traveling.
They are also investigating how the accident was caused and played out.
Officer Sam Clemens, Sioux falls police spokesperson, said they are still counting the number of cars involved in the crash. Clemens said so far seven cars were counted as involved.
Police say several others were injured in the crash.
Traffic has resumed in the area, however police are directing traffic. Avoid the area of 41st Street and Minnesota Avenue in Sioux Falls if you can.
