We've been dealing with high gas prices for so long, you may think that it's to be expected.
In South Dakota, a gallon of regular unleaded will run you $3.47 on average.
That price is the highest we've paid this year.
We did some driving around Sioux Falls this morning to check out prices.
Some spots in the city are selling gas for as much as $3.79 a gallon.
Marilyn Buskohl with South Dakota AAA says this is just the beginning of the price hike. "I think as gas prices continue to inch up and get higher gas is just more valuable and people see the value of it makes it more tempting."
Buskohl adds gas prices have climbed more than 40-cents in a month.
But she's hopeful prices with will top out at the end of April or early May.
