Though the flu epidemic may be waning...the South Dakota Department of Health is reporting 30 people in the state have died from the virus.
State epidemiologist Lon Kightlinger says the worst of the flu season is over, but that doesn't mean the virus has stopped spreading.
30 death makes this season the worst since 2004-2005 season when 42 people died.
All but two of the victims have been 75 or older.
