Dentistry From the Heart

Posted: Updated:

A different sort of tooth fairy came to Watertown on Friday.

Watertown Dental Care hosted Dentistry From the Heart an event to provide free dental work to the area.

Patients were seen on a first-come first-serve basis and could choose from a cleaning, filling, or extraction.

With more than 50 patients already seen by mid-afternoon, Watertown Dental Care was busy.

"I heard they started showing up at five in the morning," Dr. Darin Bach said. "We are going to do our best to see and help as many as we can."

This is the third year Watertown Dental Care has been providing this free opportunity for patients and those who come can't thank Dr. Bach and his team enough.

"We are so grateful," Lamar Whittemore said. "This means so much to the area, to the community, to Watertown. It is a blessing."

More than twenty dentists, dental hygienists, and dental students at Lake Area Tech donated their time to the cause.

"Our volunteers make this possible," Dr. Bach said. "All I do is come in and do some drilling, they deserve a ton of credit."
