Posted: Updated:

A Sioux Falls man was arrested at a bus stop for telling the bus driver that he had a gun.

Just before noon Friday morning, the bus driver came up to the stop at 41st Street and Elmwood Avenue. The driver noticed the man was urinating inside of the bus shelter.

The driver said the man appeared to be intoxicated and disheveled. The man tried boarding the bus, but the driver told him he couldn't ride.

The man told the bus driver he had a gun. At that point, the driver pushed the man to the ground and held him until police arrived. Police found no gun at the scene, but the man was arrested.

Daniel Afraid of Hawk Jr., 52, of Sioux Falls, was arrested for aggravated assault.
