INDIANAPOLIS  - The Augustana women's basketball team hold steady at No. 23 in the USA Today Sports Coaches' Top 25 Poll.  The Vikings won both their games on the road last week and own a 19-5 record on the season
Augustana earned 105 points for 23rd and is one of three teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference ranked in the top 25.  Minnesota State leads the NSIC at No. 21 and Concordia-St. Paul makes its debut in the poll at No. 24.
The top five teams featured a shake-up after Ashland (Ohio) suffered its first loss of the season and fell from the top spot it held for 11 consecutive weeks.  Bentley (Mass.) takes over the top spot with 24 first-place votes and Clayton State (Ga.) checks in at No. 2 with six first-place votes.  Ashland falls to third, still collecting two first-place votes.  Colorado Mesa holds onto the fourth spot and Washburn (Kan.) jumps up one spot to No. 5 to round out the top fifth of the rankings.
Washburn also leads the Central region in the rankings and central Missouri is No. 7, joining Washburn from the Mid-American intercollegiate Athletics Association.  The rest of the Central region in the top 25 is comprised of the teams from the NSIC.
The Vikings finish the regular season with two home games against Upper Iowa and Winona State.  The Vikings face the Peacocks on Friday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. and close out the regular season schedule with the Warriors on Feb. 23 at 4 p.m.
