DC Comics is taking Justice League of America Issue No. 1 to a new level by offering fans the chance to personalize the cover featuring a flag from their state.
In addition to a standard cover with the members of the new Super Hero team holding an American flag, the inaugural issue will also be available in 52 U.S. flag variant editions, one for each state plus Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.
The image is inspired by the classic photograph taken by Joe Rosenthal for the Associated Press back in February 23, 1945 during World War II in which a group of U.S> Marines hoisted the flag on Mount Suribachi.
Justice League of America #1, illustrated by series artist David Finch, went on sale Wednesday.
