Minneapolis police seek help on missing baby

Posted: Updated:

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say they're investigating the reported abduction of an 8-month-old boy.

Police say the mother told them she had left the child, Carlos Orozco, in his car seat in her apartment in the 2100 block of Portland Avenue South while she took a shower around noon Wednesday.

She told police the child was gone when she got out of the shower.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in locating Carlos. They say he has not yet learned to walk. He was wearing a onesie with a blue-and-white body and red sleeves, with the logo "No. 1 Slugger" on the chest.

Police had no immediate information on suspects. They asked anyone with information about the case to call 911.
