Planned Parenthood of the Heartland says it will close two Iowa clinics in March.

Spokeswoman Shelby Cloke says the clinic in Spencer will close and the Fort Madison clinic operations will be consolidated with Keokuk and Burlington clinics on March 15.

The organization didn't immediately release the reason for closing the clinics.

Des Moines-based Planned Parenthood of the Heartland provides a variety of services including abortions at some locations. It has clinics in Arkansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and three counties in Illinois.

It currently lists 20 clinics in Iowa including the two scheduled to close in March and two in Nebraska, located in Lincoln and Omaha.
