A Britton teen has completed the trip of a lifetime as a state representative for the grand opening of a World War II museum.

Junior Autumn Deutsch was named one of National WWII Museum's "Salute to Freedom" award winners. She was one of 51 students nationwide to win an all-expenses paid trip to New Orleans for the grand opening of the Museum's US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center.

The Boeing Center showcases America's legendary production of airplanes, artillery, tanks and other equipment during WWII. The artifacts include a Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress," an SBD Dauntless, a B-25 fuselage and the TBM Avenger.
