Thundersnow hits Kansas, Missouri

States south of us have had a tough day today because of the winter storm.

In fact, the governor of Missouri has declared a state of emergency to help deal with the fierce winter storm.

Both Missouri and Kansas have seen thundersnow - which is a relatively rare phenomenon where a storm brings thunder and lightning, but instead of rain, it's snow hitting the ground.
