Picking up groceries and delivering them to a well-used door. The "Food Check-Out Week" is making many people's day.
Members from the South Dakota Farm Bureau shopped for groceries in Dell Rapids Thursday and then stocked the kitchen at the Sioux Falls Ronald McDonald House. The $3,000 donation cam courtesy of county farm bureaus from across the state.
"(It's) for families that are having health problems with a child or a family member so they can have a place to enjoy some of the food farmers and ranchers in South Dakota provide," said Wayne Smith.
The annual event aims to help consumers find solutions to eating healthy on a stretched budget in a time of need.
