A major snowstorm sweeping through Iowa is not stopping Miranda Lambert's fans from watching her perform in the state.
The country singer will perform Thursday night at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames. A major winter storm expected to drop several inches of snow will be swirling outside the venue.
The state Department of Transportation is urging concert-goers to use extra caution when leaving the venue. They say blowing snow will reduce visibility to a quarter- to a half-mile on some southern and central Iowa roads.
Lambert and venue officials decided not to postpone the concert despite the major snow storm. Some fans criticized the move on her official Facebook page.
Officials recommend concert-goers consider staying at nearby hotels if conditions worsen.
