 An educational event about medicaid expansion downtown at the Holiday Inn.

The event was sponsored by the South Dakota budget and policy project, a non partisan group that works to explain how legislative actions like medicaid expansion will affect the population.

"Medicaid expansion is an option that's before the state of South Dakota but to make that decision we have to really understand what does it mean, who will it impact, how much will it cost," says Joy Smolnisky.
