A well-known pizza restaurant in small-town Minnesota suffered extensive damage Sunday, after an early-morning fire.
It happened in Edgerton, Minnesota, at the Pizza Ranch Restaurant along Main Street.
Fire crews were called to the nearly 100 year-old building around 4:00 a.m., Sunday.
Edgerton Fire Chief tells us a lot of smoke and some flames were visible once crews arrived on scene. Flames in the attic spread through the roof. They said the cold temperatures made it more challenging to fight the blaze.
Chief Dave Kooiman says, fortunately, nobody was hurt.
"It's a bad situation, you don't want to see anyone go through that but there's no loss of life or injury so that's the main thing," Edgerton Fire Chief Dave Kooiman said.
The Edgerton Pizza Ranch was one of just two restaurants in the community.
Community members hope the owner, Craig Vreeman, will re-build the restaurant.
