Your look at the five biggest and most buzz-worthy stories of the morning.

1. Argo wins Best Picture at Oscars

Ben Affleck and his film "Argo" took home the top prize at the Oscars on Sunday night. Jennifer Lawrence won best actress for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook" while Daniel Day Lewis won best actor for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in "Lincoln."

2. British Cardinal to skip papal conclave

Cardinal Keith O'Brien, Britain's highest-ranking Catholic leader, says he is resigning as archbishop in the wake of misconduct allegations and will be skipping the conclave to elect a successor to Pope Benedict XVI.

New research from the Lundberg Survey found that gas prices have jumped 20 cents over the past two weeks, making for a total rise of 54 cents over the past nine weeks. A gallon of regular, self-serve gasoline costs an average of $3.80 nationwide. The speed of the spike has slowed down substantially.

4. Neighbors remember family killed in I-90 crash

People tell KSFY it's a heart-breaking story but incredibly heart-warming to hear so many people say so many good things about their neighbors. The Vollmers lived on a quiet tree-lined street of well kept homes, but there is a quiet sadness as neighbors shared the news.

5. Affleck spends Oscar Sunday at spelling bee

Ben Affleck, whose film "Argo" took home the Oscar for best picture on Sunday night, spent the hours leading up to the awards accompanying his 7-year-old daughter Violet to her spelling bee. Violet also took home a prize on Sunday, leaving the spelling competition with a trophy of her own.
