PRESHO, S.D. – A Pierre woman died in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 near Presho on Sunday, Feb. 24.
Casey Crane, 31, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix westbound on near mile marker 225 when the vehicle left the roadway and traveled into the median. The vehicle hit a guardrail anchor and continued to slide in the median until it launched from an overpass grade and came to rest on the road below the interstate overpass.
Crane was not wearing a seatbelt. She was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
No further information is immediately available.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Lyman County Sheriff's Office assisted.
