BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota-based Daktronics Inc. has announced that its current president and chief executive officer will retire by the end of this year.
The company says in a news release that Jim Morgan will retire by the end of 2013. The Daktronics Board of Directors has named Reece Kurtenbach to succeed Morgan. Kurtenbach is currently the executive vice president.
Morgan has served as president and CEO of the company since 2001. He previously served as president and vice president for engineering and has been with the company since its first year of operation in 1969.
Morgan says Kurtenbach is well-qualified to be president and CEO based on his capability in business unit and product development leadership.
