KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Augustana is ranked No. 25 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches NCAA Division II top-25 poll released on Tuesday.
This is the first appearance Augustana has made in the top 25 since Jan. 3 of last season when the Vikings were ranked 21st.
Augustana is 19-7 on the season and will play as the South Division's No. 3 seed in the NSIC/Sanford Health Men's Basketball tournament tomorrow night against the North Division's No. 6 seed Minnesota Duluth. Opening tip-off is set for 8 p.m. at the Elmen Center on Wednesday.
Augustana has appeared in the NABC/Division II top-25 poll 43 times in school history, with its highest ranking being No. 3 on Jan. 11, 1988.
The Vikings are one of three NSIC schools ranked in this week's top-25 poll. Minnesota State checked in at No. 7 while Winona State dropped from 18th to 21st.
