The Wishes in Flight campaign raised 1,541,808 miles to help support travel for kids' wishes. Paul Kroeger, Make-A-Wish South Dakota President & CEO, says those miles will account for at least 38 plane tickets and save the organization more than $20,000.
Last year was the first year for Wishes in Flight. More than 2.3 million miles were donated, saving Make-A-Wish South Dakota more than $30,000 in airfare.

Three airlines participated in Wishes in Flight: Delta Air Lines 1,000-mile minimum, United Airlines 500-mile minimum, US Airways 1,000-mile minimum.
