The four family members who died in a crash last weekend were remembered during their funeral and their procession on Friday.
James and Julie Vollmer and two of their children, Alyssa and Caleb, died after a one vehicle crash on I-90 Saturday night, February 23. The Vollmer's oldest daughter, Brittany, is a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa and was not with her family at the time of the accident.
On Friday, the family was remembered during a funeral service at Sioux Falls Christian High School, but the emotion carried up street. During the procession, students and staff from Lincoln High School honored the family by lining up along Cliff Avenue.
The four members of the Vollmer family were laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
