YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - Mount Marty College is hosting the United States Collegiate Archery Indoor Collegiate Nationals this weekend.
The Yankton school is one of 10 sites across the nation to host the events. Once the sites have concluded competition, national rankings are determined and carried into the outdoor season that begins in early April.
Local events kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Complex with a Collegiate 600 FITA Indoor, a guest 3D trickle line and a guest Vegas 300. The same events occur on Sunday.
The Mount Marty College archery club program is competing against five other collegiate teams. The Lancers are also competing for All-Academic recognition at the event, with shooters needing a 3.0 GPA for consideration.
