Streets in Sioux Falls are slick in spots but for the most part they seemed in pretty good shape early Monday morning. We spoke with the Sioux Falls Street Department and they say they had a full crew of sanders head out on the road at Midnight. They've already hit emergency and secondary routes and also around schools. 38 people in 38 sanders are out right now and they will be working through the commute. Although many roads are in good shape that doesn't mean there won't be the occasional slippery spot. You'll want to take it easy and give yourself some extra time to stop.
Safe Travel USA says conditions are not great in Northeast South Dakota. Sioux Falls is listed as solid pink with black lines which means roads are scattered ice and slippery. North of Sioux Falls is listed as solid pink. That means roads are frost, ice, and slippery. Similar conditions are listed in Watertown and Aberdeen.
