A Sioux Falls man is behind bars after a drunken chase that happened Friday night.
It all started at 41st Street and Spring Avenue in Sioux Falls. An officer says during a saturation patrol he saw a Chevy Suburban passing cars in the turning lane. The driver of that SUV was pulled over at 37th Street and Minnesota Avenue, the Hy-Vee parking lot.
The reporting officer says inside the vehicle he saw a child in a car seat that wasn't restrained.
The officer says when he went back to his vehicle to conduct a license check the man in the SUV ran off—leaving his 19-month-old son behind. Police caught up with the man and arrested him at 41st Street and Grange Avenue.
Jesse Florek, 27, was charged with DWI-5th along with Child Neglect. He is also facing a charge of driving with a revoked license and false impersonation because he told police he was someone else.
