It's been just a few days, but some are already feeling the effects of the sequester-- specifically in airports--- where some lines are up to 200% longer. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says, "We are already seeing the effects at some of the ports of entry, the big airports, for example, some of them had very long lines this weekend."
TSA and customs sent out furlough notices today.
Meantime former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is using the sequester to lash out at the president.
Romney and his wife, Ann, appeared on Fox News Sunday--- it was their first appearance since losing the election.
Since November, Romney had stayed out of the spotlight... until now.
He says dealings over the sequester are being squandered by politics. "By people who are more interested in a political victory than they are in doing what's right for the country. And it's very frustrating. I have to tell you, the hardest thing about losing is watching this critical moment, this golden moment just slip away with politics."
Romney says it's going to take real leadership from both parties to make the needed changes to the budget.
