Medical Marijuana measure stalls in the Iowa Legislature

A proposal to legalize Medical Marijuana in Iowa is likely dead for this session.

A Senate sub-committee approved the bill today, but the panel's chairman says the proposal likely won't go further because there isn't support for it in a full committee.

The bill would allow patients with a qualifying condition, such as Cancer, to get a prescription for Medical Marijuana.

Non-profit dispensaries could provide the drug to eligible patients.
