(Harrisburg)- It's always special to go to a state tournament, for Harrisburg it's also historic. The Tigers are there first time ever.
"For us, you know the history thing is nice, but it doesn't matter if we are there for the first time or the 20th time we just want to go in and do well." says head coach Marcus LeLoux.
"Obviously we are excited it's the first time. It will be good for the underclassmen to see what it is like to be at state." says senior Morgan Krier.
And since the Tigers lost in the region final the last two years. Coming of short wasn't an option this season.
"They put up a lot of shots, worked hard in the summer. It showed you need to work hard to get to state." says Leloux.
This year the Tigers only loss was to Class AA O'Gorman. And they've spent much of the season ranked number one.
They hang their hat on the defense, which is giving up just 40 points a game.
"We know after falling short the past couple of years we had to get better defensively. And that's what we did, and we got more wins." says senior guard Brittany Blakney.
